ABSTRACT

Like the fate of any one organ which affects the life of the rest of the body, so does the fate of any individual affect the lives of all others who comprise the larger body of the human community. Their lives are pledged to our welfare, as our life is pledged to theirs. Our love of each other is in a certain sense a love for what is really part of ourselves; and one who hates others is really guilty of self-hatred.
