ABSTRACT

Working with students on the legal aspects of sport and leisure is a challenging but immensely rewarding experience. It is not just about meeting the requirements of a Subject Benchmarking Statement. Once students start to build up their confidence, become acclimatised to the study skills required, and realise how much they have to contribute from their own experiences, they come to appreciate the central relevance of the subject to their employability, as well as being able to interrogate and justify their own conduct, as participants or managers in sport or leisure.
