ABSTRACT

At the second meeting, again with his mother and worker present, he screamed and banged all the way to the room but was quiet on sitting down. He did not utter a word, but fell asleep, only to stir to bang his head whenever the wind blew or there were footsteps. At one time when there was a loud noise he fell into a newborn falling reflex. This is the involuntary survival response a tiny baby instinctively demonstrates when startled. I wondered here whether the tiredness was because of all the energy that went into maintaining an unborn state where no other life existed.
