ABSTRACT

LJUBISHA NIKODINOVSKI-BISH ‘In Macedonia even the air smells of theatre. At the very beginning of the

third millennium AD, on the international stage, Macedonia is again on the front

pages of the world’s media, not because of the word theatre, but because

of the black name for armed action – terror. Maybe terror wants to eliminate

the word theatre from Macedonian soil…’ so said Jordan Plevnes, in March

2001, in the Macedonian message for World Theatre Day.
