ABSTRACT
If art in general can create areas where the prevailing culture can be re-
sisted, theatre can create multiple spaces where the rigidities and imposture of
the official discourse and the powers that be can be broken. It is the above-
mentioned art of dissolution that enables each spectator to explore his/her
own identity amidst uncertainty; a subjective, intuitive appropriation of today’s
maddeningly heterogeneous culture.
