ABSTRACT
The broad idea of personality that I’ve been putting forward is one that includes not only personality traits but also character traits. So far I’ve said that character traits are, in some sense, deeper than personality traits, and that character traits are concerned with a person’s moral worth. I now want to say what I mean by this and to show that character (virtue and vice) is important in our thinking about people in ways that might not be immediately apparent.
