ABSTRACT
The previous chapter provided an overview of sub Saharan Africa’s regional constitution as part of the global order. But the encounter that this book is interested in is more specific: we need to focus in from the global order to the World Bank in particular and from the African region to a sub-set of governance states. This chapter introduces the latter, and Chapter 3 will introduce the World Bank in more detail.
