ABSTRACT
Recently, a friend who teaches in junior high asked me to visit with her class and discuss what we learn from ecology about understanding and dealing with human predicaments, the subject of my new book in preparation, entitled “Ecological Vignettes.” Since I am using cartoons, along with simple charts, to illustrate each vignette, I was eager to see how kids would respond to the use of cartoons to introduce important environmental problems.
