Anyone active in the field of Healthy Cities research must have been confronted with tales like the above. It seems that social scientific research in public health is already having a hard time, let alone undertaking such research in a realm which is still considered by numerous funding agencies ‘ideological’, ‘erratic’, ‘unfocused’ or even ‘unresearchable’.
