ABSTRACT
According to United Nations’ projections (United Nations [UN] 2001b), by the year 2030, more than half of the world’s urban population will be living in Asia. In the face of this intensifying urbanisation and the emergence of the megacities in ASEAN, with the associated health and environmental issues, it is imperative that the Healthy City project is well established in the ASEAN member countries (AMCs).
