ABSTRACT
It is widely recognized that the events of September 11 created new international political alliances. At the same time, given the media coverage of the attacks and the subsequent war in Afghanistan, questions are being raised about whether a new “world news order” is similarly emerging in the context of a changed Weltanschauung, a philosophy of life, of modernity.
