ABSTRACT
The PGCE year is the launch pad of your teaching career. This chapter looks beyond attainment of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the NQT year towards your further professional development. Although it addresses those on the PGCE route it is applicable to those entering teaching through other routes such as the Registered Teaching Programme or the Graduate Teacher Programme.
