ABSTRACT
The proliferation of teams in the workplace can be attributed to the increasing complexity of many work tasks. The requirements of many modern work systems simply exceed the resources possessed by individuals. Therefore, multiple operators are often used to accomplish what individuals cannot. When these workers share a common goal and work interdependently toward that goal, they are considered to be a team.
