ABSTRACT
In Chapter 4 we began to look at the way theatrical and film productions of Shakespeare’s plays transformed the original play quite radically to make it accessible to new audiences. The focus was on how older texts could be brought up to date. In this chapter we are going to look at how literary texts can be transformed in other ways.
