ABSTRACT
The ability to move people quickly and efficiently to and from their place of work, to pursue leisure interests, and to engage in economic activity, is the lifeblood of modern human endeavour. An effective and efficient transportation system is vital for any city that wants to grow and prosper economically. This critical infrastructure facilitates the movement of people around the settlement, transports them to and from their places of work, enables them to travel to the leisure and entertainment centres within the city, and makes the city an attractive venue to visit and bring that economic capital.
