ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION Taking the client’s perspective into account is essential when delivering a relevant and user-friendly service. This chapter considers the drug user’s perspective of community pharmacy services. It is based on unpublished and published research conducted in Scotland (Matheson, 1998a-c; Neale, 1998a,b, 1999) the author having been part of this research team, and published research conducted in London (Sheridan and Barber, 1996). These studies specifically covered the client’s perspective of pharmacy services.
