Shared care at the primary and secondary interface: GPs and specialist drug services

This chapter describes the background to the current focus on the shared care of drug users in the UK, describing the roles of primary and secondary (specialist) health care providers, and the way in which community pharmacy interfaces with them in respect of the care and treatment of drug users.
