As in the Physical Education (PE) lesson, begin with a short warm-up. We want you, the gendered reader, to run your thoughts ‘over’, ‘inside’ and ‘around’ the two job advertisements in Figure 7.1 with a view to answering the following questions-which advert best describes the department (s) where you received your Physical Education, and in which department do you feel pupils are more likely to receive a well-rounded ‘broad and balanced’ Physical Education?
