ABSTRACT
In this final chapter we collect together what we think has emerged in the book as advice for groups involved in headship, headteachers and prospective headteachers. However, we begin with an analysis which suggests actions for a littlementioned group in this book, the Education Department of Central Government. There are some issues which need to be tackled to reduce pressures on headteachers and to support their success.
