ABSTRACT

Son of Aeacus, king of Aegina, and Endeis. When he and his brother Telamon killed their half-brother, Phocus with a discus-either because they were jealous of him, or to please their mother-Aeacus banished them from Aegina. Peleus went to Phthia, where the king, Actor, after purifying him, presented him with a share of his kingdom and gave him the hand of his daughter Antigone, who bore him Polydora.
