ABSTRACT
Since the establishment of the Monarchy, there have been erected no Buildings so august, in such great numbers and in so many places in the Kingdom, as we have seen during the reign of Louis the Great. Not only has this wise Prince taken care to ensure that effort is devoted to the search for those things which may contribute to restoring to Architecture its former glory, but he has also set out to make perfect knowledge of it easy to acquire for all.
