ABSTRACT
Architecture is the art of designing and executing all types of public and private edifice. Of all the arts, architecture produces the most costly works. Even the smallest private buildings are expensive to construct, and the cost of the construction of public edifices is enormous, even when both these types of building are designed prudently, but if in their design the only guides are prejudice, caprice or habit, the expense entailed will become incalculable.
