ABSTRACT
Rules and relationships can be closely connected. Much of what has been covered in this Unit is not just a matter of rules but also of personal relationships. A good example of the way in which rules and relationships can overlap is over the matter of consistency. If teachers are inconsistent then considerable irritation can ensue. The following observation in a class of 8-9-year-olds illustrates this point well.
