ABSTRACT
Two of the three sections of this chapter are about the services provided by two statutory boards which, for Singapore, operate on a large scale – the CPF (Central Provident Fund) and the HDB (Housing and Development Board). Both of these have served increasing numbers of people. The CPF has also provided a greater variety of services – and has been criticized for having undertaken too wide a variety.
