ABSTRACT
The consequentialist approach links the rightness or wrongness
of actions with the goodness or badness of their consequences. So,
for example, an action which has only good consequences must be
preferred to an action which has only bad consequences. In any
given circumstance, to answer the question ‘what is the morally
right act?’, one need only see which act would have the best
consequences.
