ABSTRACT

Modern foreign languages (mfl) teachers have a whole range of material and resources at their disposal. The nature of the subject requires a variety of methods and material and a regular change of focus. The restricted range of linguistic means available to pupils to express themselves and the need to cover the language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing equally are determinant factors. Some resources are used with great regularity, others are deployed from time to time to enhance and enrich learning experiences. This chapter covers the most commonly used resources, namely those which find application in almost every lesson.
