ABSTRACT

We now turn to the question of possible implications for practice arising from our research. Considerable caution needs to be exercised in making the shift from the new insights and understandings generated by the study to a discussion of their possible implications for practice. We need to be clear about what kinds of practical implications can legitimately be drawn from the experiences and ideas of six practitioner researchers working in a specific institutional context, that may be of interest and relevance not just to the development of our own professional work but to other practitioners and tutors working in other situations.
