ABSTRACT
Having considered the potential and the challenges of ICT for teachers of other subjects, we now pursue the question of the role for specialist teachers of ICT. These staff can have a great effect on the success of a whole-school initiative on ICT capability, and the senior management of secondary schools need to consider it carefully in relation to their strategies for whole-school ICT capability development.
