ABSTRACT

I don’t remember a time when I wasn’t hooked on the small screen. Any kind of moving image – and bang went my attention span. It seemed like a natural progression, slipping from performing in front of the packed stands in ‘Daley Thompson’s Decathlon’ to designing the packed stands themselves. The energy of concept design translated well into the electricity of computer-aided design. Then the computer took over. When I looked, the world in the box was living, breathing, yelling out its tangible ‘completeness’. That’s when ‘concept proposals’, ‘site analysis’ and ‘project mock-up’ lost their allure. Simply, and suddenly, I was participating, in real-time.
