ABSTRACT
This chapter attempts to give an overview of health visitor involvement with the well elderly. Because there is a lack of information available concerning the health visitor’s independent function of ‘surveillance’, the literature reviewed focuses primarily on the health visitor’s dependent function in assisting the general practitioner with screening programmes.
