ABSTRACT
The aim of this chapter is to give reliable data on the provision of distance training, as defined, in the EU for planners, analysts and policy-makers, as well as for the general reader. The context is that of demonstrating the national solutions chosen for addressing the challenges of structuring systems for people studying at a distance. Only courses that are available to the public are considered.
