ABSTRACT
Informal educators* work in many different kinds of settings with individuals and groups who choose to engage with them. Their purpose is to work in ways which encourage people to use their experiences of everyday living as opportunities for learning about themselves and others (YMCA George Williams College Handbook 1998:4).
