Supervision
What is supervision? What does it mean to supervise? One dictionary definition says that it is ‘to superintend, oversee the execution of a task etc. and to oversee the actions or work of a person’. Chapter 3 considers a different form of supervision, which is especially relevant to informal educators, but for the moment let us use the term in its generic, everyday meaning.
