ABSTRACT
Introduction Over the last few years the internet has become a popular and, effective means of communication for many people. Industry has been using communication technologies of one form or another for some time and home use is developing at an unprecedented rate. Many schools are already connected and even more are looking into the opportunities that this form of technology can offer. This chapter examines some of these opportunities and why schools might embrace new and existing means of communication.
