ABSTRACT
The effects of foreign direct investment (FDI) on domestic economies have been the subject of much writing, even though the results of research are not fully conclusive (Dunning, 1981 and 1993b, Enderwick, 1985, Hufbauer and Adler, 1968, Ietto-Gillies, 1992, Reddaway, 1967 and 1968, Stopford and Turner, 1985 and various UNCTC and UNCTAD, WIR publications).
