ABSTRACT
The ‘arts’ offer a rich avenue in which both boys and girls can find enjoyment, enhance their personal and social skills, discover creative and motor skills and improve their self-esteem. Skilfully taught arts courses not only raise achievement in the arts; they improve pupil performance across the curriculum.
