ABSTRACT

The aim of this chapter is to identify some of the most important issues about potential future management education, training and development (METD) needs and how they might best be filled, trying to pose questions that require further thought.1 The focus of these points for debate is generally at the level of policy and practice rather than theory. In particular, the chapter seeks to frame questions that those engaged in UK management education may need to address. Where possible, the chapter highlights areas that are sometimes neglected in the general debate about managerial skills.
