ABSTRACT

As in the Church, God has established different grades of orders with diversity of function so that all should not be ‘Apostles, nor all Doctors, nor all Prophets’, so also He has established in Civil Society many orders of varying dignity, right and power. And this to the end that the State, like the Church, should form one body comprising many members, some excelling others in rank and importance but all alike necessary to one another and solicitous for the common good.
