ABSTRACT
In this chapter, I am proposing a New Agenda for American Schools that brings together proposals I have made in other contexts. These proposals include an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, replacing the current human capital paradigm dominating educational policy, and a renewed emphasis on holistic environmental education. My New Agenda for American Schools answers important issues raised by the Green and Libertarian Parties and the criticisms made of the educational agendas of the Democratic and Republican Parties.
