ABSTRACT
In this chapter we present our group art psychotherapeutic approach with sexually abused adolescent girls, drawing from art therapy and cognitive therapy. An overview of the literature pertaining to the patient group and the treatment approaches of art therapy and cognitive therapy is presented. We combined these approaches to treat the emotional and cognitive disturbances characteristic of victims of sexual abuse. This chapter presents case material of the group in order to illustrate our approach in resolving themes that emerged from the group process.
