ABSTRACT
Good attendance is critical to the future success and attainment of every pupil of school age. These days, no school would be without a curriculum policy document, or indeed policy documents for every curriculum area. Similarly, no school should be without a policy document on attendance. This
document should not be written immediately prior to an OFSTED Inspection but should be part and parcel of everyday school practice.
