ABSTRACT
Various chapters in this book highlight an important feature of Advanced (A)/ Advanced Subsidiary (AS) level modern foreign languages (mfl) teaching and learning: the need to supplement classroom-based learning opportunities. Opportunities to extend what happens in the classroom are manifold, as are the reasons for their necessity and desirability.
