ABSTRACT
A lecture on Freedom of the Will, delivered by Wittgenstein in Cambridge, probably in the academic year 1945–46 or 1946–47, was published in the Journal Philosophical Investigations for April 1989. The main question Wittgenstein discusses there is whether advances in scientific thinking and scientific discoveries need undermine our conviction in the reality of free will.
