ABSTRACT
The goal of explaining variability in human behavior is widely espoused across the social sciences, but the most general explanatory question has been framed in many ways. The formulations presented in Chapter 5 make it possible to pose the question in a way that establishes a profound identity between human behavior and communication. Before reiterating this identity, however, I must tie together some loose ends.
