Small face-to-face groups

The statement of overall purpose put forward in Chapter 1 included making as full use as possible of the potentials of the group as a medium for help. This clearly points to a need to understand the properties and characteristics of small face-to-face groups as a preliminary to understanding how a group can be used to help people in personal ways.
