ABSTRACT
In chapter 4, I briefly referred to the Civil Rights movement and Black Nationalism in the United States, and their relation to ‘race’ and resistance. Clearly, there is no unified African American position in relation to either of these ideas. And historically too, the picture is quite a complex one.
