Process controls

Process control is at the heart of any mass-production process which operates on a continuous basis, from oil refining to paper manufacturing, processed foods, chemicals production, power plants and product assembly lines. Systems to control these have been evolving since the 1970s, but still adopt the same philosophy of approach. This is based around the process control hierarchy.
