ABSTRACT
Motors, drives and compressed-air systems are examples of equipment that, over their lifetime, consume energy to a value far higher than the cost of the equipment. Therefore it really does pay not only to choose the most energy-efficient equipment in the first place for a particular job, but to have a proper maintenance programme for them in place.
