ABSTRACT
As has always been the case, you need to reach your target audience
in order to get hired. How you reach that audience, and where to reach
that audience has changed signifi cantly. Self-promotion encompasses
a much broader set of options than ever before for individuals who
are independent design and photography professionals. As we have
stated, self-promotion materials and resources are really a part of the
entire portfolio package. Your portfolio is only effective if it is visible. To
reach your audience and to create visibility, you need employ a range
of resources.
