ABSTRACT

How do you draw a book on dialogue to a close? As Hans-Georg Gadamer wrote, ‘The ongoing dialogue permits no final conclusion. It would be a poor [dialogic philosopher] who thought he could have, or had to have, the last word.’ 1 We conclude by highlighting some of the key themes that run through the chapters. But we hope that this chapter is not the last word, and that you will continue the conversation with us (details at the end of the chapter).
